Stormwater Management / Hydrology Analysis

DEFINITION

Stormwater management and Hydrology Analysis is the study and analysis of multiple types of storm events in relation to the existing and proposed site.  This also includes hydraulics analysis of storm drainage pipes, ponds and other treatment facilities and their routing and operation during the various storm events.  Management of storm water is how it is effectively routed and treated through a site.  It is often not just providing retention, but also promoting water quality through a project prior to discharge.

OUR JOB

SCO prepares Hydrology and Hydraulic reports for many of our various projects.  This begins with a good understanding of the pre-project condition and then effective design and analysis that a post project design will effectively manage and route storm drainage runoff effectively.  We also work with our landscape consultants to beautify and promote water quality through our drainage treatment designs where applicable.
