Roadway Design
DEFINITION
Roadway design encompasses many different types of roadway sections that can vary from a small emergency access road to a major arterial roadway with signalized intersections or roundabout.
Roadway design requires analysis of grades, sight distance and various geometrics of width, lanes and transitions. Roadways also vary from public to private requirements and are often a critical aspect in subdivision design.
